Dave Dougall has worked on accessibility programs for the past eight years at Research In Motion (RIM), a leading designer, manufacturer, and marketer of innovative wireless data solutions, including the BlackBerry family of products and services. As Director of Accessibility and Sustainability, Dave is responsible for promoting awareness and expertise of accessibility and sustainability requirements and opportunities among RIM’s designers, developers, and management.

Joan M. Durocher

Director of Policy and General Counsel Organization: National Council on Disability

Joan Durocher is the National Council on Disability’s General Counsel and Director of Policy. The National Council on Disability (NCD) is an independent federal agency charged with advising the President and Congress about the broad spectrum of issues of importance to people with disabilities. She has previously served as NCD’s Interim Executive Director and Senior Attorney/Advisor.

David J. Dzumba

David J. Dzumba is senior manager of Accessibility at Nokia.

In this role since 1998, David was part of Nokia team that was first to market the speaking phone for blind users and the Nokia LPS series for users of t-coil-equipped hearing aids. In addition to supporting Nokia commitment to offer usable and affordable wireless devices for people with disabilities worldwide, David currently serves as the FCC EAAC co-chair and chair of Accessibility for the Mobile Manufacturers Forum.

Jamie Hastings

Vice Presdient, External and State Affairs Organization: CTIA - The Wireless Association

Jamie Hastings joined CTIA in 2011, and is responsible for advocating on policy issues for the U.S. wireless industry before all levels of state government, including public service commissions, state legislatures, governors and state attorneys general. She also engages numerous third-party organizations on a variety of topics and analyzes state legislation and regulatory proposals to ensure market-driven policies continue to reflect the ever-changing and innovative wireless industry.

Lee Mabie

Director of Emerging Consumer Markets (Disability, Mature, Eco, Consumer Government Programs) Organization: AT&T Mobility

Lee Mabie has advocated on behalf of the disability community for the past five years at AT&T driving initiatives that touch products and services, employees and shaping public policy. As a father of a child with moderate intellectual disabilities and mild physical and mobility disabilities Lee has the privilege of taking emerging consumer ICT and applying it directly to his daughter’s life and feeding back his findings to AT&T. For over two years Lee’s team has run the award-winning AT&T Advisory Panel on Access and Aging (AAPAA) that uses outside stakeholder

Karen Peltz Strauss

Ms. Strauss serves as the FCC Liaison to the Wireless RERC’s Advisory Board. She has over 25 years experience working on telecommunications access for people with disabilities. She is a co-founder of the Coalition of Organizations for Accessible Technology, or COAT, a coalition of over 290 national and regional organizations dedicated to ensuring disability access to emerging Internet-based and digital communications technologies in the 21st century. Yat-Sang Hung

Director of User/Product Experience Organization: Samsung Mobile

Yat-Sang Hung (Sang) is Director of User Experience at Samsung Mobile. His current work includes both quantitative and qualitative user and product research, as well as universal design of wireless devices. He served as Chief Scientist of Device Usability and Ergonomics and various capacities at Sprint Corporation for 12 years before joining Samsung in 2008. He has been involved in accessibility design and research at Sprint and Samsung. He and his team at Sprint created mobile phone accessibility user interface requirements for device manufacturers back in 2000.
