Michael Graves Appointed to U.S. Access Board

 

January 16, 2013 — In January, President Barack Obama appointed Michael Graves, FAIA, of Princeton, New Jersey to the United States Access Board. The Access Board is an independent federal agency that provides expertise and direction with regards to accessible design under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and related laws. President Obama acknowledges that Graves, along with other appointees, are “fine public servants [that] bring both a depth of experience and tremendous dedication to their new roles.” Graves is the founding principal of the architecture and design firm Michael Graves & Associates, is the Robert Schirmer Professor of Architecture, Emeritus at Princeton University, has received numerous awards for his work and was recently named one of the Top 25 Most Influential People in Healthcare Design by the Center for Health Design in 2010.
