Mobile Apps for Case Managers and their Patients

In October 2011 and January 2012, RERC staff gave presentations on useful mobile applications ("apps") for chronic care patients and their caregivers and case managers. The presentation provided details on over 20 apps in several categories, including: a) medical reference, 2) independent living, 3) emergency assistance and communications, 4) brain builders and games.

Over 60 case managers (all registered nurses) from the national case management firm Paradigm attended the October 2011 presentation at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta. Over 40 case managers (also RNs) from the southeast regional firm Accord Services attended the January 2012 presentation in Gainesville, Georgia. The presentations were well received, with many attendees staying longer to learn more details.
